Sebastian Kneipp’s hydrotherapy treatment natural water treatment methods are known worldwide today. The discovery of his meticulous medical records from more than 100 years ago can therefore be considered absolutely phenomenal. Over approximately 27 volumes with more than 13,000 patient’s medical reports, met Konrad Hölz and Prof. Thomas Baranek (LaNova Consulting) and immediately agreed on their digitization and thorough data analysation, even to understand the historical physican’s treatment methods more better.
Thanks to a group of enthusiastic volunteers, it was possible to digitize all 13,500 pages. The next challenge now will be to study them, which will not be easy (due to the historical type of writing). The result will be valuable data that will serve as a basis for further scientific research.
